A rich and bold dark roast drinking chocolate crafted with cacao, roasted roots, including dandelion and chicory, plus adaptogen herbs traditionally used for stress resistance and equilibrium.
This blend uses a high quality cacao powder & lucuma powder for nourishing antioxidants, magnesium and additional nutrients.
Lucuma offers a low-glycemic fiber rich sweetness supporting gut health, while dandelion root supports liver detoxification and digestion.
Perfect as a cozy daily ritual or a nourishing alternative to your morning cup of coffee for a smooth, mocha-like experience.
- Healthy sugar-free alternative to hot chocolate
- Well-balanced
- Naturally contains a small amount of caffeine from cacao
Flavor Profile: rich dark roast chocolate with mocha vibes
How to Prepare: 2 different ways.
Infusion: Pour boiling water over the cacao blend and let steep for 5 minutes (or longer). Use a strainer to strain off the granules. We recommend using a loose strainer that will strain off the granules but not the powder. This hand strainer or cup strainer works great. Then add milk and/or sweetener of choice. Enjoy hot or chilled.
Simmer: Add the cacao blend to a small pot and add milk or creamer of choice. Optional: add sweetener of choice. Bring to a simmer and let infuse for approx 10 minutes. Strain off the granules and enjoy!

So warm and cozy! A great nighttime treat :)
Herbal Cacao | Dark Roast Drinking Chocolate Adaptogen Blend
I do wish it had a more rich flavor without having to use so much of the mix. I wonder if a different ratio of roots to cacao would make more of the stronger flavor I like? I’m also someone who prefers strong flavors and drink teas without any additives so this opinion may not pertain to everyone! I love that your labels share how to brew for a stronger and weaker sip. That being said, I also love that I have an alternative to coffee and it feels like such a treat to be able to steep a cup versus brewing a pot of coffee.
Thank you so much for your review and feedback! I will definitely take this into consideration and am looking into options! Best, Meli at Botanica Teas
Great alternative to unhealthy hot chocolate!
