Botanica Teas is a small and growing herbal tea company based in Bainbridge Island and Poulsbo. The goal: to create herbal teas & blends with a medicinal purpose while making them taste good - without additives or sweeteners.

We’re looking for a reliable, friendly, and outgoing Seasonal Farmers Market Sales Associate to join us for the upcoming holiday season, with the potential for recurring seasonal work from April–December 2027.

This role is a great fit for someone who loves farmers markets, enjoys connecting with people, and has an interest in herbs, tea, wellness, or natural products.

What You'll Do

• Represent Botanica Teas at farmers markets and local events throughout Kitsap County
• Drive your own reliable vehicle to and from markets and transport products, booth supplies and tea samples
• Independently set up and break down our farmers market booth, including a 10x10 canopy
• Create an inviting, organized, and visually appealing booth - attention to detail is a must
• Welcome customers and engage them in genuine conversations while providing tea tastings and educating about our blends
• Learn about Botanica Teas products, ingredients, herbs, and traditional uses so you can confidently educate customers
• Help customers find products based on their tastes and personal needs
• Process sales using our POS system
• Keep the booth clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the market
• Pack and safely transport products and equipment after the market
• Represent the Botanica Teas brand in a friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth way

You should be someone who:

• Is dependable, punctual, and prepared
• Can work independently without needing constant direction
• Is friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with people
• Enjoys sales and can naturally recommend products without being pushy
• Is curious and excited to learn about herbs, tea, and herbal wellness
• Can confidently learn and communicate product information
• Is comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Is physically able to lift, carry, set up, and break down market equipment
• Can independently set up and safely secure a 10x10 farmers market canopy
• Has a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
• Has reliable access to a smartphone for communication, navigation and use of POS/shopify app
• Has good attention to detail and can keep track of products, supplies, and sales

Experience

Previous experience in farmers markets, retail, sales, customer service, food/beverage, herbalism, tea, wellness, or natural products is a plus, but not required.

You do not need to be an herbalist or tea expert to apply. I'm happy to train the right person. What matters most is that you're personable, dependable, curious, and willing to learn.

Availability

Saturday availability is required.

Availability on Fridays and/or Sundays may be requested, particularly during the holiday season and for occasional special events.

The holiday season will include markets and events primarily in November and December 2026 with training occurring in October.

For the right person, there is potential for this to become a recurring seasonal position from approximately April–December 2027, with regular farmers markets and occasional special events throughout the year.

Compensation

$20/hour

Poulsbo Farmers Market: Base Pay $120 for 6 hours of work + 10% commission on market sales over sales threshold + mileage reimbursement

• Hourly pay for time worked, including travel required for the job, setup, market hours, and breakdown
• 10% commission on the portion of market sales over threshold
• Mileage reimbursement for approved business-related driving
• Training is $18/hour
