Farmers Market Lead

As a Farmers Market Lead, you will be responsible for managing the booth at nearby farmers markets. This role involves various tasks including picking up supplies, driving to the market, setting up the booth, preparing and serving drinks, selling dry blends, and adhering to market rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pickup of necessary supplies for the farmers market booth (in CDA).
  • Transportation to the market, ensuring timely setup.
  • Setup the booth and display.
  • Conducting sales transactions and handling cash and square app. 
  • Following each markets guidelines.
  • Providing excellent customer service with a low-pressure sales approach.
  • Educating customers about our range of teas and blends.
  • Offering free samples and conducting tea tastings to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for herbs and teas, with a genuine interest in the products.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort in engaging with customers.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting to the market.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and booth setup (up to 50 lbs).
  • Previous experience in a retail café/coffee shop is a plus.
  • Must be 18+ years or older.

Compensation:

  • Pay rate: $17-20 per hour (depending on experience).
  • Plus tips!
  • Mileage reimbursement.
  • Part-time seasonal position with room for growth in the company.

  • Friday afternoon-evening.
  • Saturday morning-early afternoon.
  • Sunday afternoon.


The main market season starts in May and runs until September/October (each market has a different start and end date).

There will be other opportunities through out the season, like Art on the Green, or working on the Tea Truck.
